Post Office Closure

The U.S. Postal Service just announced a list of possible post office closures. Fortunately, no post offices in our area made the Georgia list. Thank goodness.

To D&B, the local area post offices are where some of our community's most unique characters can be found...on both sides of the counter.

For example, on a recent visit to an area post office, a customer brought in a huge bag of fresh blueberries for a postal worker who then passed the bag around to all the patrons in there to sample. Time before a customer took center stage and told joke after joke to all in attendance. D&B goes to the post office to buy stamps AND soak up some Georgia charm.
