Dahlonega's Yahoola Creek Grill |
Deciding what to order was oh so difficult - Should we get the chicken and waffles, the elk burger, the signature fried green tomato stack, the scallop pesto or shrimp and grits?
We finally decided on none-of-the-above, and ordered chicken pot pie and steak salad, which, by the way, were certainly not 'run of the mill.' Both dishes were beautifully presented (worthy of Chef Ramsey), ample in size, and tasted fabulous. Besides the food, the service was attentive, the appetizers appetizing, and the bite-size corn muffins crumbly and golden.
The one negative was the traffic noise from Hwy. 60. Because the temperatures had dropped a bit last night, we elected to sit on the Grill's deck. While the vista of mountains in the distance was Dahlonega worthy, the drone of speeding cars heard from the deck took away from the ambiance of the evening.
Was the background noise enough to keep us from going back? The answer is a big NO. We'll be back and can't wait to take friends and family along with us. We're positive they will like the food as much as we did!
